    This fundraiser will benefit

    from Mumbai, Maharashtra

Sameer Doshi aged 44, suffered a massive stroke 4 years back, as a result of which he went into coma and is paralysed now. He had to be treated and operated at Lilavati on urgent basis and was on ventilator for a more than a year. He's had multiple surgeries since then and till date they have spent nearly 95 Lacs in his surgeries, medicines, treatments, aftercare etc.  The stroke has left him bedridden and unable to perform any physical activity. He also lost his memory and is left with limited speech abilities. He was advised daily physiotherapy to strengthen his muscles which would have helped him to regain some mobility. However, due to lack of funds, the physiotherapy was discontinued since the last 2 years. The family had to make a very hard decision – they will probably never be able to see him walk again.

His family consists of his wife - Deepali and 2 daughters. The ever smiling and optimistic wife continued with the family business of selling nightwear and loungewear through their rented shop in Borivali with the help of the elder daughter. However, rising rents and costs forced them to discontinue and shut shop.

The wife has to be physically present 24/7 to take care of Sameer’s basic needs - feed him, clean him & bathe him. Being a good cook, she started a daily tiffin delivery service in order to meet daily expenses. With thin sales (just 3-4 customers) she is unable to foot the bill for running the house, buying medicines, doctor's fees & other medical supplies for Sameer as well as the educational cost for the younger daughter.

This is a dire situation and the family is looking for your help to take care of Sameer’s critical treatments to help his mobility and brain function and other medical needs.

Kindly support them in this tough situation.

Thanking you,
Sameer and Deepali's friends and family.
