Saikat Sarkar is a 40 year old man who works as librarian in a private College in South Kolkata. He is an ameteur mountaineer, an avid traveller and a seasoned birder. He also loves gardening. In fact, on 5th of January this year, he was watering the plants on the terrace in the morning when he suddenly felt numbness in his limbs and slurred speech. His family immediately called the ambulance and rushed him to CMRI hospital. Since then his condition has been very critical. He has already undergone two brain surgeries and is on ventilation since 5th itself. Doctors are saying that it will be a prolonged treatment. The hospital bill has already amounted to around ₹5 lac. The final expense is unfathomable. It is difficult for the family to arrange the enormous amount. So let us all stand by the family during their time of distress and help Saikat recover soon. Let us bring back the smile on his four year old son's face who is waiting eagerly for his father's return, unaware of the entire situation.
