I started this campaign in early 2020 to support Sai Naresh through his Leukaemia fight. I was able to raise INR 118,000 which was disbursed to him in 3 tranches as per need (you may read the updates for details). Now with the tragic loss of his father, the situation is changed and I am extending the campaign and increasing the target as well. So as of 22nd October 2020, we are on 0 and restarting effectively.
Sai Naresh is your average 18-year-old pursuing 12th grade in a college in Hyderabad. His father Mr Jagan (who unfortunately passed away on 22nd October 2020) was a helper in an NGO operating from Panjagutta, Hyderabad. Nothing in the family looked unusual until when they received the shock of Naresh having diagnosed with blood cancer (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia).
This news has of course shaken Naresh himself and his family. While they have received medical care at the NIMS hospital that is run by the Government where Naresh will undergo Chemotherapy and other supportive care, the reduced cost of treatment, followup, and care is still a big burden for a family whose monthly income is only INR 10,000.
We, therefore, have taken to Milaap to seek the support of the generous community here to help Naresh fight cancer and recover. We request all of you to donate to this cause and help this young and promising man to reclaim his life and be useful to society.
