Mahek Banerjee,  a bright young girl of 15 years, a student of class X, sharp shooter and common wealth Bronze medalist in karate met with a fatal accident on Friday 02.11.19 . She is currently in comatose state,fighting for her life,  and on ventilation/ life support at Ruby General Hospitals, Kolkata India. Doctors are trying their best to save her life.

Part of the crisis is the fact that she do not have a Mediclaim or healthcare coverage. They have already spent whatever her mom and close relatives could, for her hospitalization and medication. However the rapidly mounting bill that's now running into several lakhs is forcing us to shift Mahek to a government hospital. We are in constant touch with all possible sources and trying to transfer her to PG/ Bangur hospital at the earliest However even in that scenario, we are in severe need of financial assistance to somehow manage to pay the remaining bills, amounting to more than 3 lakhs incurred in a just couple of days and counting.
