The journey of a young Social Science teacher and Environmentalist Sagar Singh started with Hugging trees- observing, loving and protecting nature.
He is one among who not only reads, teaches but does the work on ground.

One day after finishing a running routine after his 8 hours job, he sat besides the sea, thanked nature and the very next moment he realized looking  at the surrounding how are we misleading, all that has been gifted to us by Mother Nature.
Going back home with this thought and a secret mission of which he himself was unaware of.

After a week while sitting at the beach side again enjoying sunset on every Sunday as usual, he observed heaps of plastic  waste around the sea. With the same thought and questions yet more powerfully in his mind.
Again He utters 'how can we be so selfish to the place we live in?!'  depressed, discussions, concerns, thoughts..
He couldn't help and shared among his fellow friends what he felt inside and how powerfully it was coming from him to do something for our mother nature.
It happened to bring out the Idea of initiating beach clean up drives in Mumbai. Many young people joined hands, a community Eco Warriors India was built and every weekend beach clean up drives were initiated.
It seemed everybody wanted the same thing but did not know how to start with.
He is a social science teacher at an Educational Institute in Mumbai, not only teaching children about his subject but also educating them about climate change, current affairs, to raise consciousness, , and make people think 'What is the future of our Mother Earth?!'.
Later he started visiting schools and colleges to make students aware about climate change emergency and this is the time when half of our cities were affected by floods during monsoon.
When the BMC (local government body) announced that they would cut down 2,500 trees for a metro carshed project , he petitioned alongside other environmentalists to stop the deforestation. He started mobilizing students and other youths to conserve Aarey forests "Lungs of Mumbai",

but unfortunately the tress were cut overnight in secrecy.
He was detained with other activists even on the day of the protest to which he proudly says at least 'I fought for what was right to protect Mother Earth and I have no regrets'.
He is a nature lover, and protector and he believes and says 'hope is a good thing and no good thing ever dies- Shawshank Redemption'.
Then 2 months later  in a collaboration with Youtuber Saiman Says and Mission Green Mumbai formed a team #TreeSena (Green Army) decided to work on Plantation of Trees. Since, the 5th January 2020, tree plantation drive has been started. They have decided to plant 4000+ trees in Mumbai to revive green cover in our city.

And that is how he rightly says ' Hope is a good thing and
no good thing ever dies; If we take care of nature she will take care of us and our upcoming generations'
In order to achieve this ambitious dream join hands, volunteer and donate for planting trees.
Recently I, collaborated with many schools, Colleges and Institutes , in Mumbai and Pune to raise funds towards this dream but I am still falling short of funds and that's where I need your help and support in order to work towards this dream.connect with him to be part of his journey on instagram   iamdreamrunner
