Mr Sadiq Shaikh is the father of my student Arshiya. During the first week of February Arshiya's mother reached out to me with the news of her husband being admitted to a hospital.
He was admitted to a hospital for treatment of his kidneys and was in ICU for 2-3 days. He has recently been discharged from the hospital but his treatment will continue. According to the doctors, he will be on dialysis indefinitely.
This treatment has placed a huge financial burden on Arshiya's family as her father is the only earning member of her family and with the recurring cost of dialysis, it will be even more difficult for them to recover.
Arshiya's parents are some of the most invested parents I have seen, with 4 daughters to raise they have shown a great amount of enthusiasm and support for their education. I want to support Arshiya and her family the best I can and thus am starting a fundraiser, so that this financial set back may not rob Arshiya and her sisters of the bright, happy and successful future they deserve.
With such a high cost of treatment and the family's only earning member under treatment, this fundraiser aims to cover the cost of treatment which was 1,37,552 INR. This will help the family to continue further treatment and also support them in their daily needs.
