My name is Sachin and I am 33 years old. I am here to raise funds for myself. I live in Bengaluru, Karnataka with parents, spouse & children. I am an Engineering graduate -2009 passed out. We are a family of 5 members including me, my parents, my wife, and 4years old son.

In August 2020 I was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Failure (CKD) which came as a surprise to us. After undergoing kidney biopsy I was diagnosed with a disease called IGA Nephropathy which is irreversible.

Both of my kidneys had failed and I have to undergo Hemodialysis 2 times a week at 4hr a day for each dialysis run. Due to the dialysis my body is getting infected frequently and creating more complications which are very painful. I used to work in Software Company earlier but for the last 7 months, I have been unable to work because of my deteriorating health conditions.

According to my Nephrologist, Dr. Rohan Augustine in Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, a Kidney transplant is the best-recommended treatment for me as both my kidneys are damaged. Once we realized that transplant was the only choice we had to decide on a donor. Luckily both my parents were having the same blood group as mine. My mother was not considered as she was diabetic. We started transplant workup for my father as a donor.

Initially, all the results were fine, but again destiny had a different plan. My father had a blockage in Renal Arteries due to which his profile of being a donor was rejected.

I was totally shattered and left the dream of getting a kidney transplant and leading a normal life again. Next, the only option left for receiving a kidney is via Cadaver (Government Registration). But the minimum time the recipient has to wait for receiving a kidney via this process is 5-6years. I lost all hope in my life.

But by God’s grace, the doctor considered my mother as a donor even though she is diabetic by controlling the sugar level. Now that we have finished all the workup for my mother, the doctor has given a green signal for the transplant. I am hoping to start a new life that will be given by my mother again.

The operation cost for transplant and post-operation cost will come to approximately INR 1200000/- (12 Lakh). All my savings which I had is already spent on dialysis, Transplant workups, and medicine. Now my family is not in a position to bear such a huge cost. At this stage, I do not want to lose this opportunity and hope. So I am requesting you to please help me in this critical situation.

I am receiving Medication at  Manipal Hospital but not yet admitted. Until now, I've spent about Rs. 500000.
