I am Rushika, currently residing in Ulundhoorpet, Kallakuruchi, Tamil Nadu. I am a Transwoman and have no support from my family for education, employment, or transitioning. I have been disallowed from traveling to Chennai for work or education opportunities. I wanted to pursue law but I have been kept under house arrest for the past two years, which has created led to a complete academic setback. I even decided to come to Chennai to learn to tailor and become financially independent by reaching out to NGOs but even that has been a constant struggle at home.
After some resistance, I have decided to pursue tailoring in my district in hopes of becoming financially independent which will enable me to later transition and empower myself. My family is quite underprivileged and we are already struggling due to the lockdown.
I have found this course for tailoring and embroidery at G TEC INTERNATIONAL FASHION DESIGNING CENTRE - VIRUDHACHALAM which is accessible for me. The course fee is 11000+1000(For materials) and is a three-month-long intensive course. This can equip me and allow me to financially support myself and my family.
I am reaching to the larger community with the confidence that you shall help me in my mission.
