This is your opportunity to build and support your community through tough times brought on by COVID 19. Lockdown has destroyed livelihoods, making the rural elderly even more vulnerable than before.

We have been conducting medical camps in collaboration with doctors from PGIMER, Chandigarh, in rural areas of Dist. Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab since past 6 years. We detect people with high blood pressure, asthma, heart disease and diabetes. Once diagnosed, efforts are made to provide them regular medical follow up and medication. There are nearly 600 people whom we have detected. But the COVID 19 pandemic has diverted resources and attention away from these chronic illnesses as well as resulted in loss of the little resources that the rural elderly had.

With opening of lockdown, we find that most people have been unable to afford medications in the recent past and are having problems with their health. They require support through provision of medication.

On average, each individual requires generic medication costing about INR 250 per month.

Your contribution, shall enable us to provide generic medication to these individuals to sustain them through this difficult time.
