My name is Mandira Mazumdar from Kolkata, West Bengal and I am raising funds for my niece, Ruchita Mandal, aged 5 years old.
Ruhi (as we lovingly call her by name) has been diagnosed with (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - a fast growing type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow) in June 2019. She is currently undergoing her treatment in Apollo Gleneagles Hospital and her proposed treatment duration is around 3 years which will cost us Rs. 6 lakhs approximately. The doctors have informed us that the 5 year survival rate for this disease is 85%.
The funds raised will benefit her regarding her:
I belong to a middle class family and we have already spent 5 lakhs for her treatment in these 2 months. Life has come to a stop for us and gradually the expenditure is mounting up. Thus, we are trying to arrange more funds for her treatment from wherever we can.
Ruhi is one brave child and we are gaining all the strength from her only. Our world was torn apart the day her diagnosis was confirmed by the doctors and since then everyone in our family is fighting each day along with her to cope up. I am just waiting for the day when my niece will again go to her school and play with her friends and live life normally. I just do not want cancer to take away her precious days of childhood.
