With the increasing COVID – 19 cases in the country day by day, the return of normalcy still remains a distant dream. While the whole world is shaken by its unavoidable adversities, our country suffers even beyond because of the plight of poverty and its different layers. The daily wage earners, auto drivers, rickshaw pullers, construction workers, house helps, etc. are the most affected people. The continued lockdown has battered their means of livelihood and now they are forced to fight for their Bread and Butter.
We may be locked inside the home, but HUNGER is knocking at their doors. Govt. has been trying hard to help them but problems are plenty. The fight against COVID – 19 cannot be won unless we all come together. RSP Learning foundation has been putting all its efforts towards extending help to these people. It has already distributed food kits to more than 400 families. One Food Kit consists of 5kg Rice, 2kg Lentils, 0.5kg Gram, 5kg Potato, 50g Turmeric, 0.2L oil, and 1kg Salt. With a meager cost of Rs. 577/-, the food kit is a lifeline to a small family for 15 days.
Sitting at the bottom of the socio-economic structure, the poor people have been back-bone of our economic growth and nation-building. They have served us all for years. Can you imagine your life without the Zomato delivery boy? Or auto/rickshaw/bus drivers? Or electrician, plumbers, house-helps, etc.? Answer is No! Then let’s sacrifice a little to help them survive. Let them know that they are not alone in this fight against Coronavirus. We are all together.

RSP Learning Foundation is an organization working for the upliftment of the poor and marginalized sections of the society. Starting off from the city of Dhanbad in the year 2018, it has now established its volunteer base across the various regions of Jharkhand and Bihar, one of the most underdeveloped twins in terms of the Human Development Index. Moreover, the two states are motherland to most of the daily wage earners and construction workers and that’s why the tremor of Hunger amidst the COVID – 19 is being felt faster.
