My name is Amrita Patra, and I am raising funds for Ronojit Patra ( my 15 year old cousin) who is suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (M4) and is undergoing treatment at Tata memorial hospital, Parel, Mumbai's branch ,ACTREC( Advance Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer), Navi Mumbai.
Ronojit has always been topping his class and beside academics he takes interest in painting and creative writing. Even during his stay at Mumbai, he kept winning accolades for the same through the competitions ,being organised by the Tata Memorial Hospital. He wants to become an IAS officer when he grows up, and has been fighting the disease like a superhero.
The treatment however has already cost us INR 1000000 for the initial chemotherapy and other related procedures. Now the doctors at Tata has given us an estimate of INR3000000 more for the 'Bone marrow transplant', without which he will not survive in the long run. My Mamaji ( Maternal uncle), is the sole bread earner of the family and he is also surving without any salary( being a private job) for the last 5 months, since he has been on leave since Ronojit's diagnosis. We are completely reliant on the savings and even that is almost on the verge of exhaustion now. I request you to kindly contribute towards Ronojit's treatment and help us during this hour of crisis.
