Story

Many families in India don't have access to electricity. Children in these houses build their careers under the light of oil lamps. Rohit was born in one such underprivileged household and became a victim of a fire accident caused by a burning oil lamp.

"I feel it is a sin to be born in an underprivileged family in India. Our only fault is we are poor and have no access to electricity. I had no option other than to light an oil lamp, unaware that it would ruin my life. I am young and sitting idle at home, looking helplessly at my burnt face. Will this poverty take my life, or will I be able to afford treatment?" Rohit Kumar cries over his helpless situation.

Twenty-year-old Rohit Kumar has lost his desire to live because of a storm that wiped away his health and happiness. Eight years ago, a young boy was deeply asleep when oil from the oil lamp fell on him, resulting in flames of fire wrapping his body in a fraction of seconds. The situation was beyond his control, leaving him with no option to escape.

An unfortunate fire accident completely ruined Rohit's face and chest, resulting in extreme burning and itching on his skin in summers. With the burning of his right ear, it's hard for him to hear. His vision is also affected badly. Due to excessive burning, his skin is badly fused, making it hard to move his neck & entire body. He cannot eat or speak properly, with his lower lip poorly stretched. Therefore, Rohit needs immediate medical attention.

"'Ghost has come' this is how other kids react seeing my son. It breaks me to see him crying and screaming with pain. He couldn't even complete his schooling because of the unacceptable behaviour of society. I don't have money to afford even two meals a day. How will I treat my son? Please help me." Rohit's father asks for help.

Buried under the heaps of financial burden, Rohit's father Om pal and his mother Shashi Devi work as labourers day and night to feed their family. The expensive treatment brought them to their knees. They sold their house, borrowed money on interest and made every possible effort to save their son's life.

Still, there is a need for multiple surgeries to help him lead a pain-free life. His parents have done everything within their reach, and now the cost of treatment is beyond their imagination. Kindly come forward and donate for Rohit's treatment.

"I stammer while I speak. My burnt face has become a subject of mockery for others. I am unable to eat and hear properly. It is getting intolerant for me. This life of embarrassment kills me every single day. Can anyone see my pain and help me?" Rohit urges for help.

A pain that is not just physical but burns his soul too. He can't face this world with a burnt face. It's hard for him to sit idle at home when his old parents work day and night to feed him. He feels as if he is a burden on them. You can bring a change in their burdened life by supporting him for his treatment. Any support will be of great help.
