Hi there,
I have joined hands for an Expedition to the remotest habitats of Ladakh and work towards bringing light to the lives of people who have seen darkness for long, who have lived their lives, grown old having no access to electricity given their geographical disadvantage.
Did you know that while you are reading this through your electronic device, there are about a billion people in the world still living in darkness!? And did you know that you have the power to empower these communities by giving electricity to say an entire village in Ladakh, in the Himalayas? Yes you can!

... Through the Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE).

GHE is an innovative 'Impact Tourism' concept that provides global travelers a chance to travel to remote unexplored communities of the earth and provide infrastructure, that empowers these indigenous communities with future growth. It has also got featured in the World Economic Forum, Davos - 2018. You and I might be privileged enough to switch on the lights on entering our rooms, however there are communities that have never seen electricity throughout their lives.

Your contribution would enable me to be a part of this initiative and provide access to energy to more remote communities than today. I will be going to a village in Ladakh in the September 2020 with a group of impact travelers from across the globe and the cost of the same will include your contribution to the solar panels, batteries and micro-grid material for electrifying the village. Normally, a grid size of 1.5kW - 2kW would power 20 households with 7-8 LEDs, a street light outside of each home and a DC LED TV.
This is not just all. The schools in these villages are also then upgraded to digital education centers making them informed and emerging communities of tomorrow. As they give up candles, this saves on CO2 emission that might be harmful to the entire family. Moreover, these villages are promoted as off beat destinations to attract rural tourism that would eventually lead to income generation for the families residing there.

I would request you to reach out to everyone you can and help us together give access to energy where it matters.
Empowering communities and connecting them to the world.

For the campaign, I need your valuable help-
The total amount to raise is US$ 3200(Rs 242000) by July 31st, 2020 and (US$ 700 ~Rs 50000 immediately by 15th March, 2020)-
1. The entire money would go for procuring the solar panels and batteries required for electrification.
2. For all the essential gears, required to reach these remote areas safely.

The people whom you could impact through your contribution are those whom technology hasn't reached even in the 21st century. As we watch documentaries over them, as we discuss their pitiful condition, the health hazards in their lives, they sit in the flames of their candle-lit homes, aloof from urbanization- aloof from any possible aid, not complaining, not even hoping that their could ever be any light in their lives.
To bring an impactful change in such lives, I have joined hands with the GHE(Global Himalayan Expedition) team to fight for this cause and to bring about a positive change to the lives of so many villagers who have absolutely no hope for living healthy.
It is not just an expedition, it is an impact that we are looking to create, a change that we foresee and that we will definitely achieve- given your valuable help!

GHE works towards bringing light to the lives of a billion people who have got absolutely no access to electricity! Through this grueling expedition to these unelectrified villages where responsible traveler join hands to provide Solar Energy to these remotest of communities and create a life long impact.
Till date, 108 villages have been electrified and 48000 lives have been impacted with the aid of 1316 travellers! Most of all, bringing solar energy and offsetting 2245 tonnes of Carbon emissions!
