My name is Sougata Bardhan and I am raising funds to support the treatment of Rina Ghosh (51), my brother's wife. She has been a fighter throughout her life - coming from a modest background she educated herself to become a nurse to help people when they needed it most. She has a lovely daughter who herself began her medical course this year to become a doctor. Today Rina is the one who needs all your support to continue to fight.
About 15 years ago she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and soon she lost most of her renal functions. However, she didn't give up, and following several lengthy treatments, she went through a kidney transplant and subsequently lived a regimented life to stay healthy.
Unfortunately, she was infected with CoViD 19 on April 24, 2021 and she had been fighting again for almost the last 45 days, initially at home and then for the last one month at a hospital in Agartala. Being a transplant patient, she was especially vulnerable to severe complications. Although she fought off the virus, she is critically sick with renal problems and fungal infections at preset. So, much so that she was referred to Apollo Hospitals in Kolkata, where she has been admitted to ICU on June 4, 2021. The family is in need of your support after spending their resources over the last month.
Her treatment could range from 60K to 80K per day and she will need to be in ICU for at least the next two weeks followed by further hospitalization. So, I am hoping to raise funds to support her treatment so that her fight to live doesn't end due to a lack of funds. Your generous support can keep this family together.
