As you know recently Maharashtra has been hit by the devastating cyclone Nisarga As the city side has not been much affected the condition has been worse than ever in the rural kokan region of Maharashtra

This region was hit with winds up to 120kmp and was accompanied by very heavy rainfall

Almost all the houses and then shelter across the region have been affected with roofs blown off and substantial damage to houses and property electricity and transport is severely affected causing even further delay to much needed help and support

Sadly 80% of electricity poles have been damaged.currently there is no electricity at all and people are most likely it takes weeks for electricity pools commutation poles to get repaired

This comes as a major blow to the region which had already been affected by corona virus and recent mass employment

Most of the people in the area will not be able to pay for the repairs to their houses and property because they have already been made redundant or are from poor background

This money collected will be used for emergency repairs fixing damages and to build villages infrastructure and rebuilding people's livelihoods
