A stray today named Ray today came into my life in Lockdown. After feeding for 2 months he was run over by a car in a gated community breaking his spine making him disabled in his hind legs with no sensation. After visiting Vets and taking a couple of opinions many suggested putting him to sleep. As he was my first rescue I was not ready to give up and looking at him wagging his tail even on the hospital bed the hope he had in me and willingness to live I gave it a shot, took care at home for 3 days till I found shelter for him. He was sent to a shelter and was taken care of well strengthening his front legs making him able to walk again. Until today he chewed on his flesh when the caretaker wasn't around. He was transported from the shelter on 15th December 2020 to Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic Hyderabad for his surgery to amputate his leg. Ray had a successful surgery. He is stable now and would be under observation for the next 7 days. He need post-operative medicines, higher antibiotics, iron injections, and dressing every 3-5 days as suggested by Doctor. He is eating and drinking well but his Haemoglobin and Liver need special attention. As per Dr, we need to observe him for the next 2 days to show any progress/ changes in his condition if not he may need a blood transfusion (not confirmed yet) and general cleaning and bandaging of his wounds.I still need all your support to help Ray to come out of this condition and have a better life. Please donate for his clinical bills and medicines. Spread the word for Ray.
