I’m Ajay Kumar Verma (Ex Assistant Director – Trading) at Khadi Gram Udhyog, Meerut (U.P), I was retired last year, and my last working day was 31st January 2018. From past 10 Years my wife is suffering from a serious LUNG disease called ILD (with acute exacerbation) due to such critical circumstances of her health condition she has really hard time doing normal household work, from past couple of years her medicine and oxygen cylinder refill costs per month are somewhere around 70,000 to 80,000 INR. My office committee also helped me with these expenses sometimes but because I’m from Trading cadre I do not have any pension also due to the deduction of CPF I don’t have any family pension as well. After my retirement there was no source for my income. The amount that I received as a retirement benefit was also spent on the monthly medicine expenses. Now my wife’s condition is getting worse day by day. Her treatment is going on at Metro Hospital, Sector11, Noida. She is under the supervision of Dr. Deepak Talwar (DM) who is also an ILD expert. From 25/06/2019 to 01/07/2019 my wife was again admitted to the hospital, during this admission doctors have realised that the health situation of my wife is taking a serious turn. Post examination doctors updated me that 85% of the lungs have now stopped working and medicines are also not helping at this stage. Due to these circumstances Dr. Deepak Talwar called upon Dr. Apar Jindal to Noida who is from Gleneagles Global Hospital (Lung Transplant Programme) After examining Dr. Jindal clarified that the case is now out of hand and the only way to keep my wife alive is going forward with a Lung Transplant. For this to happen my wife must travel to Chennai to the Lung transplant hospital. The Lung transplant hospital in Chennai is estimated to charge us around 70,00,000 INR to 80,00,000 (70 to 80 Lakh INR) for this operation. The overall cost is supposed to cover the transplant operation and 06 Month hospital expenses for patient and the dependent. We are not able to raise enough money to complete his treatment, currently my financial state doesn’t allow me to arrange such huge amount of money, and because I’m retired and I don’t have a monthly income, no bank will loan me this amount.
