As you might have heard, our dear friend Vamsi Bhargav bravely fought the COVID battle until his last breath on May 11th at the age of 29. He was a young, aspiring, hard working engineering grad who was on his way to become an IAS (indian administrative services) officer. His goal was to give back to society by joining the indian administration. He was a role model for the younger generation to dream big in life. His favorite quote sums it all - “There's always hurdles. So I just keep moving, just constantly redefining myself. That's how you stay in the race”.
While pursuing his IAS goals he accepted an offer in the banking sector to financially support his family as a primary breadwinner. He touched many of our lives with his ever present smile and desire to help.
His family (both his parents and grandma) has tested positive for COVID and are fighting the virus while mourning his loss. Both of his parents have underlying health conditions which is very worrying.
We can’t bring back Vamsi to heal their sorrow and pain. We are asking for your help to pay off medical expenses (~ 8 lakhs) and family debt (~15 lakhs). This will help relieve his younger brother and parents from financial stress and burden. Money is something no one should ever have to worry about in circumstances such as these. Support from friends and the community will be greatly appreciated.
This is being organized by Vamsi’s cousins Rama Krishna, Srikanth and Srinivas. All the funds are used to pay off medical and family debt and any left over money will be given to the family.
