My name is Prathiksha and I am raising funds for my father, Ravi Shetty who is diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer) and is undergoing treatment at Bangalore.

He underwent PET CT and Biopsy, which confirmed the presence of multiple myeloma and is categorized as Stage 3. He has been admitted and is currently on medication to normalize his vitals. The doctor has advised further procedures like Bisphosphonates, Blood Transfusions, Chemotherapy, and Radiotherapy to control the spread of cancer cells. His further treatment includes Chemotherapy sessions every week until the cancer cells have been killed. The doctor has also advised about the possible marrow transplant (Stem cell transplant) procedure at a later stage once he responds to the chemotherapy sessions.

Life has been so harsh on him. Less than a year ago, he was tested positive for COVID-19, and then he was diagnosed with the deadly Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) for which there was a severe shortage of antifungal drugs in the middle of the pandemic. With all your praying hearts and helping hands he managed to fight it and just when he started to come out of it, he has to fight another deadly disease again.

The family has done all it can to collect the initial amount required and the required amount could further go up depending on the number of chemo and radiotherapy sessions needed.
