I am Shobha Devi, a single mother of a 33-year-old son & who is here to make an appeal to raise funds for my son, Ravi Kumar who has been suffering from Portal Hypertension with Gastro-Intestinal Bleeding for the past six months. Ravi was diagnosed with chronic liver disease, Extrahepatic Portal Vein Obstruction with portal hypertension, ascites and gastrointestinal bleeding and was admitted to the AIIMS, Patna where he has underwent endoscopy, colonoscopy and CT angiography. Ravi was referred to Delhi AIIMS due to non availability of double balloon enteroscopy at AIIMS patna. From where he was sent to ILBS for liver transplant but due to shortage of fund and non availability of donor we brought him back to patna and is currently admitted at PMCH.

Due to the malfunctioning of liver fluid is getting accumulated in abdomen. Doctors are trying to cater the infection if any. Also to stop intestinal bleeding we need to do double balloon enteroscopy . which As per doctor’s advice this is a chronic illness and treatment would go a longer way. We plan to shift him to IGIMS or SSKM kolkata for further treatment but we don't have funds left.
