Art has the role in education where children are inspired to be themselves rather than being like everyone else.
We at Teach for India believe arts has the power to conquer the world. Dramebaaz is one such platform for our kids come, collaborate and perform once in a year pushing themselves out of their comfort zone, trying new things alongside building connections and confidence while trying to solve problems they come across.Students identify areas that they associate strongly with, build a story around it, connect with the characters of the story, develop a play and perform it. It's a journey on which they'll learn, imbibe, demonstrate and transform.
With participation of over 300+ kids and about 11 schools in Dramebaaz, we saw a phenomenal increase in the number of participants across the city! We also saw the joy in the eyes of the fellows and parents as their kids graced the stage, mumbling through their lines and stumbling with the props! From creating awareness about environmental issues to generating comedy, we saw their sincerity and passion in all that they tried.
