Hi, I'm Ranjana Pandey,a student leader with less resources but a lot of ambitions and dreams and would like to become a role model for the girls in my community.
I'm 17 years old, and I'm working towards getting into the field of business. I have completed my primary education (till class 10) at a Municipality school in Mumbai. My family is originally from UP but we have been staying in Mumbai all my life. My father is a taxi driver and earns a daily wage to support me and my 2 siblings so that we can get a good education. We have home rent, education loans, and several other financial liabilities due to which I have worked towards getting a scholarship for my own studies.
Post 10th standard, I received a scholarship to pursue secondary education (till class 12) & higher studies. Working towards my goal of getting into one of India's top colleges for an MBA, I am about to start my first year of BMS (Bachelors in Management Studies) at SIES college in Mumbai.

As a recipient of an EY (Ernst & Young) scholarship, I am able to pay for my college fees, transportation, and other ancillary expenses. But unfortunately, this does not cover any technical items that I would need for college and internships.
I am looking to purchase a laptop for the following reasons:
- College assignments, class work, and extracurriculars.
- I need to master the tools like Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint.
- The laptop will help me to get more internship opportunities and hence good experience, as a laptop is a must now in every sector!
- Given my family background, I am not able to buy a laptop myself. My father earns a daily wage and between house rent, my sibling's education loans, and other family responsibilities, it is extremely difficult for them to support me financially by getting a laptop.
Here are the specifications of the laptop I am considering purchasing since it would best fit my needs:
- A decent processor
- 8GB RAM/512GB SSD
- Windows 11
- Backlit Keyboard
- MS Office Suite
- Light-weight
- A decent battery
I really appreciate your support in helping me achieve my dreams. I strongly believe that every child deserves equal opportunity and thank you for believing in me.
