We are reaching out requesting your contributions to help Ramana fight Black Fungus related complications. Ramana, 39 years old with no pre-disease, non-smoker needs treatment. He has a wife, son (9 years) and a daughters (11 yrs).
Ramana was tested positive for Covid-19 on April 20th 2021. Within a week, Ramans condition deteriorated and was admitted to a Tirumala hospital in Kadapa. After two day his pulse rate decreased and he needed ventilator support. Because of unavailablilty of ventilator, Ramana was shifted into Palla Hospitals in Kadapa on April 23rd. Ramana was in treatment in Palla Hospital until May 8th. And he was discharged from the hospital. However, after a week, he started complaining tooth pain and sinus problem. Hence we moved to Bangalore for better treatment. We admitted Ramana in TrustWell Hospitals on 20th May. May 21st he underwent Sinus surgery. Later he was diagnosed to have Black Fungus infection. Doctors suggested that we need yet another surgery of upper jaw, to avoid further extention of the Black Fungus. This was conducted on 28th May.
Post surgery he was in recovery phase until June 7th. On 11th June his condition was worsen with low PB and with other complications, he was shifted to ICU. Since then, Ramana is in ICU fighting with Black Fungus. Doctors are treating Ramana with Amphotericin injection and some other antifungal dosages.
The family has spent ~35 lakhs of their own savings and through support from extended family.
We expect ~30 lakhs more expense to come up during the treatment.
