Rama Sampath, a manager at a government institution has been single handedly trying to make a difference by feeding over 175 dogs and 65 cats every single day in Andheri (E) and BKC region in Mumbai.
Feeding the dogs alone costs her Rs. 55,000/- each month and the cats food costs her about Rs. 12000/- each month.
But, feeding is not the only thing that Rama does. She also gets the strays sterlised with the help of a few NGO's who either give her a discount or do it for free because of the relations she has created over this long time of her service.
Apart from that she takes care of furry fellows and pays from her own pocket apart from putting in hard efforts to make sure that they have a beautiful life.
She doesn't get a lot of support from her neighbors who in fact criticize her for her work. She has to deal with all this everyday.
She alone pays for all of this with minimal support from anywhere else. A lovely couple gives her some financial support to feed the strays but that is no where enough.
Hence I urge you to support her campaign and help her continue doing God's good work.
