Hi,
Divya was a trainee of mine few years ago. I remember her as an extremely soft spoken girl with bright lit eyes. What struck me deep about her was the determination she had to take care of her aged parents , a twin sister and a younger brother who was suffering from Subchondral Sclerosis. During Covid pandemic, her father lost the job, her sister's education came to a standstill and her brother's health condition began to worsen. This girl in her mere 20's has taken up a huge burden upon herself fighting for the very survival of her family.
Divya has managed to take care of the expenses of MRI and the X-Ray , however , she is deeply distressed and distraught as she now needs to arrange money for her younger brother Rajesh's surgery who is now unable to walk due to severe Subchondral Sclerosis and a cyst in lateral femoral condyle.
For those of you who don't understand the medical terminology like me, “Sclerosis” refers to an unusual increase in the density or hardness of a tissue in the body. In the case of bone, sclerosis means that an area of bone is making more new bone tissue than usual and becoming denser and thicker. So subchondral sclerosis is a thickening and hardening of bone that happens underneath cartilage in a joint. If untreated this may result in permanent numbness and/or paralysis from spine to his legs. The overall surgery charges is approximated to be 3 lakhs INR (4100 USD)
This is the first time in my life, I am writing to raise funds. Most of the young girls of Divya's age, will be dreaming of getting married or focusing on their career or searching their purpose of life. But for Divya, it's all about trying to arrange money for her brother's treatment and to feed her family.
I request anybody who is reading this to kindly help Divya for her brother Rajesh's medical treatment. Your simple act of kindness , no matter how big or small can restore a family and save a life. In return, I pray that God Almighty would reward you with multifold blessings, prosperity and good health for you, your family and your future generations !
