My name is Sneha and I am here to raise funds for my husband Raja who is 32 years old. We've been married for 2 years. Raja lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka with me.
He couldn't go to office from past 5 months because of the disease.
He is suffering from Ankylosing spondylitis (it is a form of arthritis) with HLA-B27 gene positive from 8 years, this is a type of gene which affects every joint in the body. Swellings/inflammations (affected areas) are there in neck, both shoulders, chest, ribs, hip joints, knees and foot. Because of the extreme pains he is unable to walk properly so using the help of stick, unable to sleep properly, sit, stand, or do any of the day to day activities.
He is under treatment of Bilogics which is very costly treatment at Optima Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic Bengaluru, Karnataka which would cost around 9-12 lacs per year for hospital expenses and there is no insurance coverage as this is autoimmune disease, this disease is non-curable and has to be with this life time, only we can control the disease with medications and injections.
Until now, we've spent about Rs. 1200000. We've arranged amount from savings, loans & with the help of dear friends and family. In next 2 months, we need Rs.2,000,000.00 more for the treatment.
