Hi,
My name is Rahul Sarmah and I am raising funds for my mother, Sikha Sarmah. Before contracting this disease, she was fit and fine doing all the household chores. One sudden day, she collapsed and was unable to move. She was immediately rushed to the GMC hospital, Guwahati. Doctors performed many tests and it came out to be spinal cord infection leading to the rare disease, Acute Transverse Myelitis. She is bedridden for 1 month now and will take an unknown recovery period as said by doctors. Till then she has to rely on medicine, spinal injections, and physiotherapy to recover.
My father does not have a permanent source of income, has spent all his savings, and recently lost his job to take care of my mother. For the treatment of this disease which we never heard of, our family needs your support. A minimum contribution will be a great boon in meeting our needs of medicine and physiotherapy cost.
