Even today as the city progresses with all the modern technology, the garbage of our cities is still picked up and collected by workers and also segregated by them, without any protective gear available to them.

The sanitation workers of our city, Mumbai, have to work daily even in harsh monsoons of Mumbai. The ladies working as sanitation workers come from an underprivileged backgrounds and have to work inspite of all the challenges they face just to feed their family.

We at Rotaract Club of Thane along with Stree Mukti Sanghatna aim at raising ₹50000 for them. This money would be used to buy ponchos (raincoats) for the workers, so that they can protect themselves from the rain.
