We have had to shut down our center in Bhiwadi due to Coronavirus. However, continue to support the local migrant population through daily food supplies. We are spending roughly 30-35k daily on these supplies that have largely been coming through contributions in cash or kind. The local authorities have allocated 5 clusters under us that include over 1000 people.
The situation is dire and resources limited. It is beyond the government and we have been receiving daily distress calls from the families for help. We wish to continue the work and reach more number of people.
We have already distributed over 3000 Kg worth of supplies since the lockdown was enforced on the 22nd. These supplies are in the form of food kits that include: 5 Kg Atta +1 Kg Oil + 3 Kg Rice + 2 Kg Dal + 2 Kg Aloo + Masala. Each of these food kits costs INR 700 approx and lasts 1 family a week.
What do we do?
We provide a platform to support the holistic development of a migrant child and its family including educational and vocational training ( over 300 children visit the center daily); nourishment through mid-day meals (over 5,76,000 meals provided till date ) and; organized medical camps (55 camps organized) and other related events.
