Queer Pride in Kerala is turning a decade old! We're incredibly excited to have made it to this milestone year in fighting for our community and our rights.
As part of the celebrations, our annual Pride March will be held in Kochi, on November 16/17, 2019.
This is an important year for us in India. The violent and oppressive Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill is set to make a come back to the Parliament this year, and we are coming together once again to fight it. But we are also coming together to celebrate how far along we have come as a community, to grow and to learn to support each other better.
This Pride, we hope to bring art, activism and academia together. There will be discussions and panels, exhibitions of artwork, and cultural events. We will work to create a safer and more inclusive Pride that welcomes all the queers in the State and beyond.
The funds raised shall primarily be used for:
1) Travel and accommodation expenses of the official guests for the event
2) Expenses for cultural events
3) Booking a venue, booking lights and sound systems etc.
4) Expenses for pre-Pride events
5) Press Conference expenses
6) Expenses for Pride banners, notices, placards, goodies, flags and more.
Please support us in making Kerala Pride this year bigger and better than ever before! Any amount, no matter how big or small, will be highly appreciated.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert in several districts, including Ernakulam. In the light of this unpredictable turn in the weather, we have had to reschedule Pride. It just wasn't safe to have so many of us travelling and marching on the streets, especially with these high winds and relentless rain.
