I would like to appeal to the masses to spare a few minutes to read through my request to help two families from the low income earning bracket to pay off their children's pending school fees. While COVID-19 has snatched away several lives, it has also managed to put a massive financial dent on the lower income earning sections of society.
Pruthvi H is the 8 year old son of parents Bhagyamma (a housekeeper) and Hanumantharayappa. They also have a daughter (Lavanya) who studies in the 5th standard and is under a Government scheme that provides her with a free education seat till her 10th. However, the parents have to cover her uniform, book costs on a yearly basis. Pruthvi studies at Shree Vinayaka School. His education fee is INR 20,000. A dear friend of mine donated 5,000 because of which Bhagya was able to admit her son to the 2nd standard on Nov 11, 2021. However, Bhagya still has another 15,000 Rs. to pay off for which I am raising funds to help her out.
Coming to the second child, Diya N aged 6. Diya studies at St. Mary's Convent ICSE school. Her father Bahadur washes cars and takes up other odd jobs to make ends meet. Diya completed her LKG at St. Mary's Kindergarten for which her father has paid a sum total of INR 21,900 in 3 installments on Sep 20th, Dec 7th 2020 and 5th Feb 2021 respectively.
She is now in the UKG for which he has paid an installment of
INR 5,300 on Sep 21st 2021. He was supposed to be given a 2K reduction last year due to the COVID situation. Since it was not done the previous year, they have adjusted it against the UKG 1st Installment. However, he still has two pending installments of INR 14,600 to cover the complete UKG term costs. Given the amount he needs to pay, I would like to help him ease his financial burden.
To sum it up, your contribution, no matter how small it may be, will matter. Even if you are not in a position to help, do share the link within your network. The idea behind this campaign is the help ease the burden of these two families while also encouraging them to continue to educate their children. On that note, 15K has been ear-marked for Pruthvi and 14,600 has been ear-marked for Diya Newar's education. Relevant documentation in terms of past receipts have been attached for your perusal.
Should we receive the desired amount, payments will be made to the schools and updates regarding the same will be uploaded here for your reference with necessary documentation.
