She was diagnosed with bone cancer about three years ago, and was operated upon to remove the tumor from her right leg (femur). Following that, she had a fall and fractured the same leg. She underwent another surgery, where they fixed a rod in her leg so she could walk.
Soon, a few months later, they found two tumors in her lungs, which were removed with surgery.
After undergoing these surgeries and the various cycles of chemotherapy, she was discharged a few months ago. But she had recurrent pain in her leg for which she came back for a checkup.
Following a full body PET Scan, it was found that her cancer had spread to her lungs again. On account of her age and the aggressive type of cancer, the doctors gave up the idea of chemo and surgery again and any further intervention, and recommended palliative care.
On the advice of a friend who had undergone treatment at the above wellness centre for her three cancers some years ago, Priyadarshini's family has decided to pursue alternative medicine to help treat and manage her cancer. They plan to go to Dr. Sreekumar's clinic in Kerala, for treatment this week.
Both parents are flowersellers and do not have the resources to cover the cost of treatment, food and transport.
We all want to do our very best for Priyadarshini in her journey with her cancer, and wish for her to live and make her dreams come true. She shows no visible sign of the illness outside, and is always in joy, managing her pain without any pain medication so far.
The treatment she will receive in this centre in Kerala, is functional nutritional medicine to manage her cancer.
While a friend is paying for her treatment, we need to raise some more money to cover the bus fare from Chennai to Kochi, their food expenses and auto fares.
Your contribution could very well put her back on the road to recovery and good health.
It could save her life and all her dreams.
She is no ordinary child.
She has a will of steel and a heart of gold.
And spirit with wings that is always ready to soar.
Help give her another breath of this precious life.
