Inspiring & changing perceptions in the youth of today for our Indies🐶

COMING TO ONE Mind_ONE student AT A TIME
Hello 👋 I'm Dr. Prerana Gogoi (MBBS) and this is why i want you to help me :-)
On multiple occasions when I would take Xander(in picture) to a local veterinary hospital, the families with other breed dogs would somehow feel superior, cut lanes and try to out-stand you, or simple do ‘weird expressions’ upon seeing Xander. Well, firstly, nothing is even wrong with Xander, we are usually just there for a happy ear cleaning or a health check compared to bred dogs who usually have more complaints and weaker immune systems! I don’t blame them, they were never supposed to be here in India in the first place. Believe me, Indies are way stronger, the environment suits them, they have better adaptive digestive systems and yes, they don’t need an AC just to even sit and chill.
I wondered what made people detest our beloved Indies so much. Is it bound by stereotypes? Is it testament to enticing superstitions and faith? is it prejudice to certain superstitions? or is it simply an inherent feeling that brining or nursing an Indie is not 'cool' or 'classy' enough?
We see such painful incidents, atrocities happening all over the country. Somebody beats them to death just because they wanted to sleep under a shed, or under the car or save themselves from heat or rain inside a soothing apartment block. They’re treated in a way that wrenches my heart to think, why do people behave the way they do?
I realized and I’m sure many of you would agree to the fact that, the change has to come at the very crux of the problem- where the young undeterred fresh minds are taught. The change has to come in the tiniest form in the tiniest platform. Our children who deserve a more compassionate future.
But to see that very change, we must ACT NOW. We must reach out to every school, college, education or professional institute for creating waves amongst the students. It shall sow seeds of love, tolerance and compassion towards animals today and in turn will build a more compassionate and tolerant future for our beloved paw friends.
What' started out as a motive to give back something to her Alma Mater, has today touched innocent lives and unadulterated hearts. Her passion for the uplift of our beloved Indie dogs and belief that one day, they shall see the light of love through the eyes of each and every person. Within just two months of consistent work, she has been able to reach to students from three cities already! HELP PRERANA REACH OUT TO MORE STUDENTS AND MAKE KINDNESS THE ‘NEW COOL’!
It's just been two months since we started out but we're already covering and running in three cities. we might be novice but our love for our dogs is old. I am pleased to say that a good number of students have been inspired by this idea, faced their fears and acknowledged that this love is truly pure!

Our student volunteers have identified their campus dogs, got them vaccinated with rabies and canine distemper, dewormed, done multiple vet check-ups, made 7 successful adoptions, organized amongst themselves, attending to rescue calls and cries for help, daily feeding, ensuring nutrition, application of medication etc. They're in talks with a private vet to conduct a training session for them (very soon) on how to rescue dogs and working with SARAH to ensure each one is neutered.
We wished to expand to other cities and we're already live in Gangtok, Guwahati and Bombay. We need to conduct a minimum of 4-5 awareness campaigns , events and hold talk-sessions in public interest and safety across the country. Each event would cost upto 20000-25000 INR and here is the attached estimate of the same.
