Prateek Khandelwal was my co-worker at Prospecta. He was a bright young man who played lovely guitar. In early May he had gone on leaves because he was getting engaged. On the day of engagement, after the ceremony, Prateek fell ill with a high fever. He was taken to a local doctor in Mathura who advised him to be taken to a hospital in Delhi. He was rushed overnight to ILBS hospital in Delhi and his liver was found to be extremely damaged.
His condition deteriorated and he fought for his life in the hospital for 42 days before succumbing to cardiac arrest on the 17th of June.
He was one of the two children of his parents and he had lost his father 5 years back. He is survived by his his sister and mother. I am setting up a memorial fund to support the family to recover from the financial stress.
