My name is Pranav Kishore Saxena and I am 24yrs old.
My quest for higher studies came to a halt in 2021 at the height of the Second Wave of COVID19 when my father and grand-father succumbed to the pandemic.
I took up many freelance writing and research projects to support my family, and clear off debts that we incurred from my father’s medical expenses.
My father’s small business collapsed after he passed away. We had to exhaust all our savings and my earnings to become debt-free. Due to all this, I had to postpone all my academic pursuits.
Now, my hardwork has earned me an offer from Oxford University and I felt as though my plan was back on track, but little did I know, there was a much bigger obstacle waiting – funding.
Although I applied for the Master’s program before the funding deadline, I wasn’t awarded any.
I'm afraid I won't be able to arrange for all the funds that I require to study at Oxford University.
Although my family has been trying to contribute funds, enough for me to stay in Oxford, I need assistance in paying my tuition fee of £ 28,560 (INR 27,68,286.26). Without these funds, I don’t think that I will be able to fund my education at Oxford.
I hope to grow up to become a Historian and I’m sure that my study at Oxford will help me contribute to the society in the capacity of an educator and intellectual, just like my father contributed as an environmental activist for almost a decade until his death.
I request you to help me collect enough for my tuition fee by contributing a donation.
Even a meager amount of Rs 1000 will be of immense help to me. I may not know you personally but I thank you for your support and I promise to pay it forward.
You will always be in my prayers.
