Prafulla Dave, 50 years in age, lives with husband and single child Pranay. Husband has a private job earning Rs. 3,500 per month, Pranay her son is preparing for competitive exams. She herself was a working woman earning Rs. 6,000 per month, but now as she is diagnosed with cancer she is not able to earn living for her and family. It all started with abdomen pain and after 3 hospitalizations in SSG Hospital, Baroda (Gujrat) for 8, 6 and 4 days respectively and 7 days hospitalization in Choithram Hospital Indore she is now diagnosed with Peritoneal Carcinoma, Ovarian Serous Carcinoma which is rare cancer. It develops in a thin layer of tissue that lines the abdomen. After these hospitalizations family is facing financial crises as all savings are lost and there is no source of funds available. Now Funds are needed for further treatment of cancer that is initially Chemotherapy and Surgery after completion of dose as advised by the doctor. Approximately 10 lakhs rupees are needed to bear the expenses of chemotherapy and surgery. Funds are needed ASAP so that Prafulla can start her chemotherapy as early as possible.
