Pradeep kaka, our cherished guard/kaka at NID (National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad), has been at college for many years now. From late-night conversations to chai and sutta and the one we took solace from a hard day, Pradeep kaka has been with us through it all. And in times of need, the student community has always come together to help him. As he celebrates his 62nd birthday today, so many of us aren't able to be there with him physically as we have over the past years. The pandemic has been hard on a lot of us and so for him, with family members working as daily wage workers there has been no stable income in the family, and with a differently-abled son to look after in these times of crisis, we really hope that our community can once again unite to help him out.
