My name is Poornima. I work as a househelp in Bangalore and am 51 years old. My family consists of my husband, two daughters and one son. My eldest son is 31 years old, elder daughter is 29, and the youngest is 20 years old. The elder daughter has recently delivered a baby amongst lot of health complications and the baby also stays with me. As does the baby's father, my daughter's husband, because he has no job or home to survive or keep the child and wife.

Recently, amid covid, all of us have lost our livelihood. None of us have a job. Except two employers, no one else has allowed me to come back or even paid me for the past months. My husband does odd jobs but he is also an alcoholic and does not pay anything for household expenses. He was recovering from a plumbing accident, and I am the one who paid all his medical expenses. My elder daughter underwent a complicated child delivery, as mentioned earlier, she also has an heart problem, and her health continues to be complicated and fragile. She is still trying to find a job as a cook or a maid, but with a small child and health issues, it is a bit tough to her to give it her 100 percent.  In April 2020, my son also was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism. Most of my savings were spent on the medical expenses of these both. My son still is unable to do any physically tough work and he is also trying to look for a job that does not involve health complications.

Kind strangers on the internet helped me. My daughter's delivery was successful because of this platform. My son's health is also improving, however, I do not have any source of income right now and I need to pay the monthly rent, grocery bills, water bills etc. The son's clot arises due to deep vein thrombosis and DVT+ thromboembolism is complicated.  A few days back, my son felt breathless again and we had to immediately admit him to G G Hospital in the middle of the night. All my savings are gone and if I do not get any help or at least any other jobs, then my family will not be able to bear this lockdown and might have to leave home.

I request you all to please help me with this situation. I am unable to bear this now and only you all are my hope.
