Rural Health care is one of the biggest challenges facing the Health Ministry of India. With more than 70 percent population living in rural areas and low level of health facilities, mortality rates due to diseases are on a high.
Healthcare is the right of every individual but lack of quality infrastructure, dearth of qualified medical functionaries, and non- access to basic medicines and medical facilities thwarts its reach to 60% of population in India. A majority of 700 million people lives in rural areas where the condition of medical facilities is deplorable.
In rural India, where the number of Primary health care centers (PHCs) is limited, 8% of the centers do not have doctors or medical staff, 39% do not have lab technicians and 18% PHCs do not even have a pharmacist.
The Idea behind this intiative is simple. Provide the basic medications to villagers in the village itself so that they do not need to go to town for checkups. There is not any proper clininc in nearby 8 to 10 villages. For basic medications, people has to travel for around 14 kms.
I am from the village named Aat Daanpur in district of Hardoi. The nearest health care center for the people of the village is in town Hardoi (14 kms) where they can get their basic medications.
This will benefit around 5000 villagers directly. They can not afford in high check up fees to doctors in town. We will be bringning doctor at the village and medications will be provided at cost to cost level.
The Raised fund will be allocated to:
1. Setting up the clinic infrastructure (10 Lakhs)
2. Bring new equipment for the clinic (10 Lakhs)
3. Doctor's Fees for complete 1 year (No of Doctors: 2) - (7.5 Lakhs)
4. Medicines for all generic diseases - (5 Lakhs)
5. Nurse Salary for complete 1 year - (2.5 Lakhs)
With your contribution, we will be able to start and run a health clinic for the people of around 5 to 6 villages. I have the support of the Pradhan of the village.
