Thousands of needy souls including street beggars and strays are starving due to the second wave of COVID-19. They now have no access to regular food and water. No jobs, No Savings, No food. They are dying of hunger.
As the lock down continues, so does the lock down on the livelihoods of many street dogs, other street animals, daily wage workers, riskshaw drivers, rag pickers, and other poor and vulnerable people. They are all unemployed an unable to afford basic food to sustain themselves and their families.
This is an initiative by "National Welfare Council Samiti Jaipur" to feed needy ones who are struggling to afford a single meal during this lock down period. With all the love and support, we've helped over 26000+ people and animals. Now we aim to support and lend a hand to more because UNWFP has warned that an estimated 265 million people and millions of street animals could face acute food insecurity by the end of 2021.
To ensure they do not starve, we distribute various ration kits that a family of 5 for an entire week.
