The second wave of COVID-19 has hit Kashmir and left the disadvantaged sections in ruins.
Kashmir is home to many Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Pastorals, and religious minorities as disadvantaged sections.
Additionally, severe deprivation has been seen in the below-mentioned sections:
1. Fishing Community
2. Single Women
3. Migrant Workers
4. Urban Poor
Due to the lockdown and with the COVID-19 cases rising, many have lost their livelihood and are unable to find the means to survive and support their families with basic essentials or the necessary medicines related to COVID.
While the urban areas and influential population have access to digital technology and means to reach out amid strict lockdown for the challenges – the disadvantaged section is completely immobile and lacks the means to reach out for help.
Therefore, HAQ: Centre for Child Rights in partnership with School for Rural Development and Environment (SRDE) has initiated this fundraiser to support the above-mentioned communities.
Your contributions will provide:
1. Ration and hygiene kits for around 1000 families each in Bandipora, Budgam, Baramulla, Pulwama, Shopian and Srinagar.
2. Emergency medicines for COVID-19 and its after-effects
SUPPORT 1 family for 1 month - ₹2000
In this grave scenario, we urge you to come forward and contribute to making sure that a family does not go hungry and receives the necessary medicines on time.
