    pencilbricks Foundation

    from Pune, Maharashtra

Hello everyone,
This is Susmita, Co-founder pencilbricks Foundation. We at pencilbricks believe in the need for building essential skills in every individual to build a better world.

I am raising funds for our projects at pencilbricks as well as to support our team.

Project details:
1. I support my Family Internship: It is a 37-day programme for children between ages 13-23 yrs. Children learn to solve problems through art. At the end of the internship, children get a stipend of Rs.500/- to support their family during this COVID era and the work that they did. We have so far impacted 108 children.

2. Problem-solving through storybooks: It is a series of books for children of ages 6 - 13 yrs, to build awareness of the problem-solving steps and gain exposure to the skill.

3. Problem-solving through toys: For children of ages 0-6 yrs, we are aiming at building awareness of the essential skills through toys and make them school ready.

Why should you contribute?
Research says that growing up in poverty makes growing into leadership roles difficult. In India, 22% of the population is below the poverty line, which means for this entire population 'Leadership' even in their locality or community maybe just a dream.

The focus has always been on foundational skills and very minimal stress when it comes to transferable and job-specific skills. As the country is experiencing poverty and underdevelopment young people lack skills which are transferable and vital for employment and thriving.

With your contribution, these children and youth from humbled backgrounds will be provided with opportunities to build the essential skills and the best of experiences for applying the skills learnt in their day to day activities.

Note 1: The funds raised will be utilised to support the programs as well as the backend team who is working relentlessly into making a change in every individual.

Note 2: pencilbricks Foundation does not have a bank account yet, due to the COVID lockdown and safety concern. All our programs are carried out virtually. Every donation made will be utilised only for & by pencilbricks foundation's needs and requirements.

We look forward to your donations and are extremely grateful for every Donor.

Edit: Note 3: We cannot accept any foreign funds currently due to the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) amendment. If you are willing to donate and have only an international card, please do pass it on to your friends and family to donate, or write to us on postbox@pencilbricks.org, and we can find a way for you to donate. Thank you for co-operating with us.
