Ms.Payal Naresh Pashte , studying in standard 8th , from Sande Lawgan, Jaigad , Ratnagiri studying in Jindal Vidyamandir , Jaigad , Ratnagiri has won the award for the Best Perfomer in  NASA International Space Science Essay Competition organised by go4guru  (https://www.go4guru.com) in association with two American Institutes , Astronaut Memorial Foundation and Florida Institute of Technology in December 2018 and she has been selected for participation in International Space Science Conference to be held at NASA, Kennedy Space Center, USA. in September 2019. She can also be eligible to get Scholarships from NASA, if she participates in this conference.The total expenditure for the participation in conference is estimated to Rs.2.5 lakhs and to be submitted by April 2019
Her father Mr.Naresh Pashte , is a local fishermen from Jaigad and there only income source being fishing it is becoming very tough for them to collect such huge amount.Coming from such background , the girl Payal Pashte has excelled in various sports and Karate Competitions , Bharatnatyam dance , Academics and Co - curricular activites.
Attending this international Space Science Conference will help her to achieve few more merits and add one more feather to her cap
