Many of you may have heard that Parth Ahluwalia was diagnosed with rare Stage 3 Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma at the young age of 15 years old. Since August 2019, Parth went through intensive chemotherapy to treat his cancer and after painstaking 2.5 years he was considered cancer free as of February 2022. Everything he has done so far follows the standard protocol for cancer patients. His immune system was immediately compromised and despite all the challenges he faced he remained firm and endured the painful procedure with a smile on his face and being a kind soul, he helped his closest family members by providing them with comfort during difficult times.
After going through such a painful event in life, Parth got the inspiration to become a Medical Oncologist to help make a difference in other lives who are going through similar hardships and give them hope to live cancer free lives. Despite being immunocompromised, he continued his studies through sheer determination and achieved 95% in 10th grade which is an outstanding feat itself for a person going through such aggressive treatments. But he knows the path to become a doctor is a difficult one and to achieve it he had to be the best. Uptil now he was on his way to finishing his 12th Grade and indeed the results would've been as amazing as before but unfortunately his cancer relapsed.
Having the most aggressive and rare type of cancer, it is of utmost importance to treat it swiftly and stay vigilant. On 18th May 2022 Parth observed a small lump on his body which seemed peculiar and he immediately requested to get it checked. It was found that his cancer relapsed at a surprisingly fast rate and formed a large metabolically active soft tissue mass (8.1 x 7.5 x 10.0 cm, SUV max 14.2,
Deauville’s score 5)and other metabolically active right pleural deposits.
Being the most aggressive of cancer, it has higher survival rate only if treated swiftly. That being said, his treating Oncologist located in India suggested that he find the best type of treatment which is located in USA known as CAR T Cell therapy. His type of cancer makes his germ-fighting immune system turn against his body and compromise his body's ability to fend off against foreign infections and diseases. The whole family is working day and night in finding promising cancer treatment centers all over the world, mainly focusing on USA. Approximate treatment costs go upwards of 500,000 USD excluding lodging, caretaking, travel and everything in between. Lots of funds in hand are required just for second opinion from professionals. Time is of the essence and they have to finalize a treatment facility within this week as his cancer is spreading at a destructive rate. Huge amounts of initial funding is required to admit him after consultation.
We are trying to help him in any way we can, by giving him access to any treatment that could save his life. With advancements in technology, and clinical trials showing promising results, there is great hope for him. The unfortunate reality is that these medical and research treatments cost a significant amount of money. Therefore, we are setting up this page to support Parth and his family in covering the costs of ongoing treatments. care and provide relief to the family in these stressful times. We will also use this platform to create awareness among other families going through similar situation. We need everyone to help Parth and to help others, so that they can each have a chance at living a long healthy life; every donation small or big will make a huge difference. If you cant make a donation, please keep him in your prayers as they are much needed.
Parth is a warrior in every sense of the word, but in any case, he needs a strong team alongside him to go alongside him.
