We all know what COVID 19 is by now, and standing on this stage, as we all know that India is not one of the leading countries in terms of Health Care. The doctors, police personnel, defence personnel, disaster management groups and others are working day in and out to break the spread of the pandemic; but then people will die in one way or the other if they suffer from hunger, if not from COVID 19.
I, Paromita Dey hereby request you to all to contribute in whatever quantity possible for you to provide basic eminities such as 2 meals a day, fresh drinking water, masks and gloves for our friends under the poverty line.
Your contribution ( starting from ₹100 ) or in kind ( by sharing this to someone efficient enough to give jig ), that’s not important. But keeping the fact in mind that it’s quite a fast spreading pandemic, we need to start rolling the process NOW !
The Daily Wagers in slums of north Kolkata are in a difficult situation under the COVID-19 outbreak; they cannot go out due to lock down all over Kolkata. The adults are not being able to earn anything at this point of time and the children are out of school, but most of them are receiving a minimal amount of food as their mid-day meal, which is just not enough to run a family.
We’ve identified around 300 BPL people with no predictable income in 3 slums in Kolkata, who need immediate support. We are seeking your funding support for providing care kits consisting of dry rations (rice and lentils) and soaps for 15 days, with each kit costing between Rs.1000 - 1200 depends on the market price and demand.
