Story

My name is Paridhi. I am a 23 year old transwoman residing in Bangalore. I just finished my graduation in BCA. I was planning to pursue my Masters, however because my state board was refusing to update my name on my 10th and 12th certificate, I couldn’t get admissions and had to take a break.

I was planning to get my Gender Confirmation Surgery(GCS) after completing my masters and getting a job. However, because of COVID and because of  unforeseen circumstances with regards to my education, my plans got pushed by a few years.

I have been on Hormone Replacement Therapy(HRT) for 4 years and 6 months. Getting GCS would reduce the number of medications I have to take for HRT while removing unwanted long term side effects from said medication and also reducing my monthly expense in the process.

But the most important reason why I want to get my bottom surgery is because it will greatly reduce my dysphoria and depression. It will help me live a happier life and fulfil my desire to be my true-self.

I am planning to get my bottom surgery at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.
The funds from the fundraiser will be allocated for:
*The Surgery and additional requirements for surgery (ward, tests, etc)
*Travelling expense and accommodation expenses for me and an additional person who will be coming with me for support.
* I will contribute any leftover funds to another transperson in need.

I would really appreciate any and all help you can give me. Please contribute and share my campaign.

** The name mentioned on my medical documents is my dead name. I have changed my name legally. The proof for the same has been attached below.
