Annapurna was a sprightly 5-year-old girl. When she had fever, her mother didn't think it was anything to worry about, but took her to the doctor. The next day, Annapurna’s body turned cold, and she did not gain consciousness for six months. When she came to, she realized she had to live her life in a wheelchair.

More than 30 years later, Annapurna has a new lease of life: Boccia. She won a national-level medal and is selected to represent India in an international Boccia championship in Dubai. She and her teammates need your help to participate in the tournament.

Three other players, from all across India, with inspiring and amazing stories to tell, will vie for a medal at the international Boccia tournament to be held in December in Dubai.

In Boccia, a precision ball game specially adapted for People with Disabilities, players try to put a set of balls (red and blue) close to a white ball. Boccia is part of the Paralympic and Para Asian Games as well.

In India, Boccia is promoted by us at the Para Boccia Sports Welfare Society (India) and we seek your help in getting these players to Dubai for the tournament. All required documents are given.

The expenses for the players are as follows:
1.         Tickets return to India from Dubai, with wheelchairs, etc.: 25,000 to 30,000/- per person*7= Rs. 2,10,000
2.         Accommodation, transportation and food for six days at Dubai: USD 913 per person = INR 64,570/- per person *7= Rs. 4,52,000
3. Indian team kit 10,000/- per person= Rs. 40,000

We are also trying for support from corporates and government, but it is a long struggle. Any little bit will help.

Note: The organization does not have 80(G) exemption.
