Save Taro and Cheetah

Taro and Cheetah will now have to continue their treatment for atleast a month. The neurotoxin will take time to flush and the progress (it's there!) is slow. I need your help with meeting the expenses for a month. Please help us get these two beautiful kids to return back to the free-spirited dogs that they were.

It's been exactly a month since we brought back Taro and Cheetah to the campus. What a journey it has been for these two. I wanted to be sure that they were getting back to their old selves before I posted a final update on the two. While Taro was back to his old healthier self( i.e avoiding being patted on the head, and running away from us 😆) , I was still apprehensive about Cheetah. Cheetah was not only struggling to gain weight, but had lost most of her spunk and was more subdued than before. It was only last night when I found out that she went and fought with another dog, that I was certain that we finally got our old girl back.
There are so many people that had such huge role to play in their recovery. I want to start with the good folks who informed us about the two when they were missing, the vets in Tezpur and in Khanapara Vet Hospital and the caretakers who worked tirelessly for two street dogs, our autowala who helped us transport these kids daily and waited with us patiently, to my colleagues and friends who accompanied us during their daily feeding and medication in the campus, to our friends in Guwahati who visited them in the hospital when we couldn't ( you know who you are), to our Instagram friends for your kind words and good energy, to my student volunteers who persisted and without whom this entire thing who have failed and finally the donors, most of you who have never met me or these two monkeys, but so generously gave us your money and love.
THANK YOU!! you make me believe in the possibility of a better world.
Taro and Cheetah are back to running, sleeping and exploring the world.

Here is an update on Taro and Cheetah:
After two weeks of continuous medical treatment, I'm so happy to share that both Taro and Cheetah are able to stand and walk on their own even if it is for a few minutes! While they are both extremely weak and have become extremely thin, due to heavy medication, they are getting better.
I shall upload a video of them very soon on my Instagram account @straysoftezpur.
Thank you!!!!
