COVID-19 Relief for Villages in Uttarakhand

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in inconvience of the transport of essential commodities to the remote and not-so remote villages in Uttarakhand. Sanitary supplies are perishing by the hour and to an extent that there are villagers who have no access to commodities required to maintain a proper health and hygiene. Moreover, there are women who do not have any sanitary napkins!

Over the past few months, Pagdandi Foundation has been running an education program for the kids in the Dhalani Gram Sabha in the Vikas Nagar Block of Uttarakhand. We are currently working on providing sanitary commodities to the remote areas. We are coordinating relief operations to ensure we get the most critical and urgent needs of our students and their families met over the next few weeks. These funds will be utilised, on the ground, to help make available a variety of immediate resources for communities in need.

About Pagdandi: 'Pagdandi Foundation' is working on providing skill-based and value-creating learning that enables children in rural areas to transform into self sufficient humans and create thriving communities at large. With the COVID-19 crisis not subsiding, we need to reach out to the villages who have no access to provisions. As we are still a far way behind in generating enough funds, we are extending the campaign by a few more days.
